Occasionally, a client wants this class delivered in a half-day.
This can be done. Nonetheless,
ten chapters is a lot for 4 hours. Go fast when you can.
The chapters are roughly equal in duration (well, chapters
1 and 2 are quicker than the others) so you must complete
chapter 5 by your mid-class break.
In chapter 4 (Apache Configuration) one of the labs
involves changing the DocumentRoot.
Do not skip this lab, even if you're pressed for time.
For reasons we do not understand, some of the
subsequent labs fail if you leave the DocumentRoot
at Apache's default (C:\Program Files\Apache Group\apache\htdocs).
Perhaps the most exciting chapter is the one on SSI (Chapter 9).
Most web authors appear to be unaware of this feature and
immediately love it. Be sure you leave plenty of time for
this chapter. It will help your evals!
