The ELVIS SHOW: A Rock 'n Roll Party!
Details.
"Well it's one for the money... Two for the show... Three to get ready...
Now, go cat go!" Mark your calendar for the new ELVIS SHOW:
A ROCK N' ROLL PARTY! A familiar face on the San Francisco cabaret scene
for the last few years, Bradley "Memphis" Cotton appears with his rock n'
roll/blues group, The Beale Street Band.
Cotton, who was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee (hence the nickname)
created the show as a tribute to the King of Rock N' Roll.
The evening will feature a lineup of hits from
the Las Vegas phase of Elvis' career.
The Beale Street Band includes "The Dapper Tapper of the Ivories"
Gary Neuman on keyboards,
Dan Keller on stand-up bass, and
Memphis Cotton himself crooning a la King.
Familiar tunes will
include Blue Suede Shoes, Heartbreak Hotel, Hound Dog, All Shook Up,
and many, many more. Memphis Cotton gives the audience a glimpse of
Elvis' hometown with a walk down Beale Street to hear the songs that
launched rock n' roll and rewrote American music history. The show is
sure to please blues, rock, and cabaret audiences alike.

jazz was dead in San Francisco?
So did we, until we discovered
Axum East.
Great food, full bar, no cover, and some of
the hippest music in town.
Ok, we're biased... but check out this
review in The Wave, "The Bay Area's Best Entertainment Mag":
Traditional Ethiopian is delicious, filling, spicy,
healthy, sloppy, mushy, slippery and sultry.
It's designed to be shared without utensils,
which makes it the perfect communal or intimate date affair.
And... the whole experience is set to live jazz
in one of the hippest, most authentically renovated
spaces in all of San Francisco.
(We especially like the part about "torchy vocalist Cathy Felter...")
