Installing Perl

Unix

• Download "Perl for Unix"
• You will need gunzip (GNU), a C compiler, and make to unpack, build, and install it.
• HTML documentation is included.

NT

• There is now only one official Perl for PCs. This is it: download ActiveState's build of Perl for Win32. Here are detailed instructions. Also, read the README file included with the download.
• After installation, be sure the executable perl.exe is in your PATH.
• Choose to associate .pl with the Perl interpreter.
• HTML documentation is included.
