I plan and facilitate meetings so that groups accomplish their tasks with a high degree of satisfaction. I specialize in working with large, diverse groups and/or groups that do not yet work together effectively. I help leaders clarify the purposes of their meetings and translate them into group tasks that maximize participation in the process and commitment to the outcome. I’m skillful in evaluating progress of groups and dynamically adjusting meeting plans to meet emerging needs.

I am a master teacher of change management skills, team development skills, performance evaluation and coaching, and related interpersonal and management skills. I develop customized classes that are results-oriented, highly interactive, and directly aligned to the organization’s goals.

Hewlett Packard 1976 - 1999

Planned and facilitated a wide range of decision-making and project management meetings for teams in information technology, marketing, and quality. Planned and led programs to transfer HP management skills and practices to public school educators. Planned and led complex, cross-organizational information technology projects, both internal and for HP customers. Managed IT teams. Implemented electronic meeting room technology and facilitated groupware based meetings. Developed and managed technical and soft skills education programs for employees and customers. Managed human resources team and provided HR support and training.

San Jose State University 1998 - present

Developed and co-taught new courses in management and leadership for elementary school teachers and prospective high school principals.

Pacific Gas and Electric 1971 - 1976

Designed, coded, tested and implemented sections of employee payroll system.
