Keller Group plc ('Keller'), the world's largest geotechnical contractor, announces that its majority-owned subsidiary has been awarded a significant contract in Mostaganem, Algeria.

The contract supports the construction of a 1450 MW combined cycle power plant by Sonelgaz, a state owned utility company in Algeria. Keller’s work involves producing a working platform of about 90,000 m³, and installing 260,000 metres of stone columns to mitigate liquefaction and 47,500 metres of bored piles as foundation support.

The contract value is around £28m. Work has now started on site and is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2019.
